Live: Sensex Turns Flat, Slips Below 28,500



Sharemasterindia.com 3:21 p.m.: Devang Shah, portfolio manager with Sharekhan told NDTV that the short term trend for Nifty is positive. Mr Shah adds that Nifty has important support at 8,480 and in the short term it can move upto 8,680 and if Nifty holds 8,680 levels then the medium term target for Nifty would be 8,800.

3:17 p.m.: Inox Leisure shares surge 6.4 per cent to Rs 208 after the company reported first quarter numbers.

3:10 p.m.: Banking and metal stocks have extended losses in the late noon deals. Meanwhile, select oil & gas and real estate stocks were also facing some amount of selling.

Delta Corp Jumps 9% on Strong Q1 Earnings

Sharemasterindia.com: Delta Corp, which runs casinos in Goa among other things, saw strong buying interest on Friday following the company's first quarter earnings. Shares in Delta Corp jumped as much as 9.3 per cent to hit an intraday high of Rs 85.40.
 
Delta Corp reported a net profit of Rs 10 lakhs in the April-June quarter of FY16 against a loss of Rs 19.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. Total revenues jumped 46 per cent to Rs 81.5 crore compared to Rs 55.7 crore in the year-ago period.

Sharemasterindia.com 11:15 a.m.: Man Industries shares jumped as much as 7 per cent to hit 52-week high of Rs 127.1 on Friday after the company reported robust earnings for the first quarter of current financial year.

11:00 a.m.: Mindtree shares jumped as much as 5 per cent to intraday high of Rs 1,286 on Friday following the outsourcer's Q1 earnings announcement on Thursday.
 
Mindtree missed constant currency revenue growth estimates and also reported a decline in profitability in the June quarter, but strong sales guidance for the September quarter cheered investors. 

Asia Up on Wall Street Rise, Greece Relief


Tokyo(Sharemasterindia.com): Asian shares opened higher on Friday, aided by a higher Wall Street and eased tensions over Greece, while the dollar extended gains versus the euro and yen as economic indicators bolstered expectations for a U.S. rate hike by year-end.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was up 0.1 per cent. The performance of volatile Chinese stocks, which start trading later in the day, will be watched to see if recent gains are kept.

Japan's Nikkei rose 0.2 per cent on a softer yen, while South Korea's Kospi climbed 0.5 per cent. Australian shares were little changed.
