The travel period for the IndiGo offer is between July 1, 2015 and September 30, 2015.
This offer is the latest in a slew of offers that airlines have been offering customers, in a bid to fight for market share in a very competitive market.
Airlines in the domestic market try to attract customers with special schemes for travel during the January-March and July-September quarters - traditionally considered periods of low travel demand.
Carriers like IndiGo, SpiceJet, AirAsia India and Jet Airways have been locked in fare war, coming up with special offers and discounts almost every week, in a bid to compete with each other. This week India's national carried Air India also joined the bandwagon and announced fares starting Rs 1,777 on its domestic network of 66 destinations.
The discounted airfares by airlines have helped boost domestic airline traffic. Passengers carried by domestic airlines during January-April 2015 rose 21.28 per cent to 251.05 lakh compared to 207 lakh during the same period last year.
