Inox Leisure Surges 15% on Strong Q1 Performance

 Sharemasterindia.com: Shares of Inox Leisure rose as much as 15 per cent at its day's high of Rs 239 after the multiplex operator posted strong performance in its first quarter.

Inox Leisure reported an over four-fold increase in standalone net profit at Rs 22.56 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015, on higher sales. Net sales of the company stood at Rs 302.69 crore in the April-June quarter, up 35.32 per cent compared to Rs 223.68 crore during the same period previous fiscal.
Inox Leisure had announced its results after the market hours on Friday.

 The company's management attributed the strong performance in Q1 to higher footfalls, occupancy and growth in average ticket price. Inox said total footfalls during the June quarter grew 46 year-on-year. The company targets to reach 557 screens and 138,231 seats over 3 years.

India's second largest multiplex operator, Inox Leisure currently operates 97 properties (377 screens and 99,429 seats) located in 52 cities across India.

At 12:01 p.m., shares of Inox Leisure were up nearly 11 per cent at Rs 230.15 as compared to a 0.50 per cent fall in Nifty.
