Sharemasterindia.com: Just Dial shares under pressure over the last several weeks, shot up 15 per cent on Monday on the launch of a new android mobile application.
The "Search Plus" app will provide a one-stop online solution for a variety of user requirements, Just Dial said.
The new app will help small physical stores to move online and sell their products and services to customers, said Just Dial. The "Search Plus" app will add an addition stream of revenue to the company, the company added.
"This is an everyday- everything app, one can do everything by using this app... If you want to shop something, you can get quotes from dealing e-commerce sites as well as from neighboring shops," said Just Dial founder and managing director VSS Mani.
"In one click you are able to discover the price and act upon it and place the order online... For watching movies, going to restaurants and booking cabs you don't have to use separate apps."
The internet search company has also submitted its new iOS App to Apple App Store for approval.
Just Dial shares have underperformed the broader Nifty in last one year. The stock is down nearly 45 per cent per cent in last one year as compared to nearly 4 per cent fall in the broader Nifty.
Just Dial shares closed 13.5 per cent higher at Rs 926.90 apiece, as compared to 1.06 per cent gain in the broader Nifty.
